What goes into our products - Beard Oil

If you are anything like us, you want to know what is in the products you use. So when it comes to our products the answer is: The good and only the good.

We strive to be as natural and eco-friendly as we can. We don’t test on animals or use excess packaging and everything we use is derived or extracted from natural sources and free from mineral oils, parabens, silicones and sulphates. We ain’t ‘bout hiding anything either and believe the most important thing is to be informed so you can check what each ingredient in every product is here. Used for centuries Aloe Vera is known for its skin soothing properties remedying burns and inflammation. Extracted from the gel in the centre of the leaf it’s naturally occurring lignin aids also drawing other ingredients to the skin.


Argan Oil is made from the kernels of the Argan Spinosa tree and is rich in poly-unsaturated fatty acids, including linoleum acid, Omega 6 and natural tocopherols. It is highly nourishing for both skin and hair and with 80% essential fatty acids it helps reduce inflammation, help heal skin and reduce flaking. An antioxidant, Argan oil helps reduce frizz and rough cuticles by reducing free radicals.


Unrefined East African Shea (subspecies Nilotica) made from the nuts of the Vitellaria Nicotica, a subspecies of the Karite tree. Native to East Africa it is much rarer and more conditioning than other shea butters. Easily absorbed and rich in antioxidants and Vitamins A and E it is an excellent moisturiser and helps maintain elasticity helping prevent skin cracking and hair becoming brittle. It is also known for its therapeutic qualities aiding conditions including dryness, sunburn, eczema.


Made from green tea leaves it is a natural colourant, rich in antioxidants.


The liquid portion that has been separated from the harder fats and long-chain fatty acids of what makes up solid virgin coconut oil. Unlike virgin coconut oil it is quickly absorbed, less greasy and less prone to clogging pores because it little to no Lauric acid (which is what can cause acne breakouts). It is highly moisturising, nutrient rich and used as an emollient aiding dry skin and hair, often used for treating acne and other skin irritations.


A natural wax produced by honey bees of the genus Apis. It consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols. It works as a barrier to protect skin and hair from contaminants that might otherwise irritate and has been found in a German study to be superior to mineral oil-based creams. It is used to provide firmness.


A naturally occurring scent ingredient found in lemons.


Coconut oil is harvested from the meat or kernel of mature coconuts. It is highly conditioning and moisturising. Rich in Vitamin E, proteins, fatty acids like Lauric acid and capris and caprylic acids all full of anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It’s chemical makeup is designed to penetrate the hair and when used in conjunction with other oils it helps track water and the oils in the skin and hair helping strengthen and prevent breakage and split ends.


A naturally occurring scent chemical found in clove oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, basil and bay leaf.


We only create fragrances from Essential and Absolute oils and extracts from plants and natural sources. We don’t use any mineral oils or those that are derived from animals. Essential and absolute oils are highly concentrated aroma compounds from plants. They are the “essence” of a plant’s fragrance. Many have varying health benefits but in large quantities can be toxic and so are used only in small quantities, more than enough to provide the benefits.


A naturally occurring scent ingredient found in flowers such as rose, citronella and lemon oils. It is a natural repellant to many insects including mosquitoes.


Pressed from the seeds of sunflowers, Sunflower oil is rich in Vitamins A, D and E and easily absorbed by the skin.


A naturally occurring scent ingredient in the skin of citrus fruit and citrus essential oils.


A soft, sweet naturally occurring scent compound found in lemon, rose, mint and cinnamon.


Unrefined avocado oil pressed from the pulp of avocado fruit. Ideal for helping stimulate hair growth, it is quickly absorbed, rich in antioxidants, Vitamin A and D and monounsaturated fatty acids making it a great moisturiser helping nourish and strengthen both hair and skin.


Derived from vegetable oils Tocopherol or Vitamin E is an antioxidant that aids skin protection. Tocopherols make up 96% of your skin’s natural antioxidant defence system.


Jojoba Oil is extracted from the seeds of the Simmondsia Chinensis shrub which is native to America. It has a chemical makeup similar to that of the skin’s natural sebum and so easily absorbed, and can trick the skin into producing less natural sebum aiding oily skin and preventing acne. It has antimicrobial properties and an anti-inflammatory that is also rich in both Vitamins E and B making it ideal for healing wounds.
